State Rehabilitation Council

The State Rehabilitation Council, which meets quarterly, has 32 members who are employers, people with disabilities, labor representative, parents of children with disabilities, and others. During the quarterly meetings, the council advises the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services on a number of issues related to vocational rehabilitation services.  The Council has been instrumental in assisting the ADRS in the revision of its policies and procedures and in developing consumer satisfaction and employer surveys. The council has successfully created and implemented a statewide needs assessment to measure the unmet needs of individuals with disabilities across the state.
